One of the first ghostcams on
the Web
was June
Houston's Ghostcam. Its stated purpose was to help June, who
believes that she lives
in a haunted house, to sleep at night. "My basement is a place that
really scares me," says
June on her site. "I am the only person to use it and whenever I go
there (very rarely), I
feel that I am being observed."
The pictures above were purportedly captured by ghostcam watchers--
'purported'
because they're not genuine. A visitor to this site has helped me
identify the source for
one of the images. UncleTim54@aol.com writes, "I'm not expert on digital
photography, but regarding...the ghostcam photos, the odd figure seated
appears to come from the cover of the band Oingo Boingo's self-titled
album. The picture in question shows a small dwarfish figure with a
checkered pattern to him in the bottom center of the photo... I think
you'll recognize the image once you see it."
